Snorkeling fun

We spent the day at Kapoho tidepools.  Since he NEVER went in the water while growing up, here is video proof positive for Mom that he does indeed get into the water here….


One of the fun things about the place is that there are areas where the channel narrows, allowing you to “fly” along it as the tide carries you in.  I videoed it with my new GoPro camera :


In the picture below, DH is pointing at the edge of the reef (where some waves are in the photo).  What I missed on camera is the….very large…..flipper from the whale who was right up against the reef.  This is an area no more than 15 feet deep for the most part, and out on the shore side of the reef, only 5-6 feet (but obviously quite a bit deeper on the other side!)
